Judgement day. Do you think about it much? We all have a judgement day coming. There are actually two judgement seats spoken of in the Bible. One is the Judgement Seat of Christ where believers will stand before the Lord Jesus and give an account of what we did with our lives. The second is the Great White Throne Judgement for those who rejected the finished work of Christ to pay for their sins. I’m so very grateful that I get to stand before the Judgement Seat of Christ, knowing that He paid the price for the penalty of my sins and I don’t have to. Because of His finished work on the cross, my sins have been forgiven and removed as far as the East is from the West. However, I still find it very sobering to know I will have to stand before my Lord and Savior and give an account of what I did with my life — how I built on the foundation that was laid down in my life when I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Have you ever suffered collateral damage as the result of someone else taking things into their own hands instead of waiting on the Lord? Or maybe just the results of the fleshly behavior of someone else, or resentment or lack of forgiveness?  Or have you suffered because of a loved one's addiction or some other sin?  Maybe your own resentments and unwillingness to forgive have caused collateral damage in someone else life.  Sometimes in studying forgiveness, when people are encouraged to forgive, we hear things like, "You only hurt yourself when you don't forgive."  Or, "You are the one in chains when you hold on to unforgiveness and resentment."  But that's not really accurate.  Being at the receiving end of resentment and bitterness due to lack of forgiveness can be excruciating.  Sometimes it can feel as if a two ton boulder is suffocating the life out of you.  In a sense, a loved one's lack of forgiveness can place chains that can only be r...

Moses had to deal with difficult people.  Some things never change, because we all find ourselves dealing with difficult people.  In dealing with those people, our own flesh always wants to  rear its ugly head. Let's remind ourselves to speak to the Rock and not the people during these times of difficulty.
